Jennifer Murray, Founder JMC Consulting

Jennifer is the kind of entrepreneur who turns dreams into reality.

When she launched JMC in 2016, it was built on her passion for helping leaders reach their full potential and stay laser-focused on their people. With over 20 years of HR expertise under her belt, Jennifer didn’t waste any time—she hit the ground running, partnering with business leaders and helping Atlantic Canada’s top organizations make smarter decisions and thrive. Today, alongside her ever-growing team of HR consultants, she’s driving innovation and excellence in HR practices across the region.

Jennifer is known for her boundless enthusiasm and unstoppable energy. As the driving force behind JMC, she’s the ultimate team motivator, always encouraging her crew to leap into new challenges, push their boundaries, and serve clients with heart and professionalism. Her infectious passion doesn’t stop at her team—it extends to her clients, empowering them to step up their leadership game and build stronger, more resilient organizations.

Before launching JMC, Jennifer mastered her HR craft across a diverse mix of industries, from food and mining to call centers, finance, and government. With six years at KBRS and 12 years in manufacturing, there’s no HR challenge she hasn’t faced—whether it’s recruitment, leadership development, strategic compensation, performance management, or driving change, Jennifer has seen it all. Backed by a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University, her CPHR designation since 2003, and an impressive array of certifications in compensation consulting, coaching, and strategic leadership, Jennifer’s credentials are just as powerful as her vast experience.

Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Jennifer brings the same adventurous spirit to her personal life. Whether she’s traveling, skiing, or catching waves with her family of four, she’s all about soaking up life’s experiences and making memories along the way. Her family is her rock, and they never shy away from a new adventure—just like Jennifer in business.

Description:

The recruitment landscape in Atlantic Canada is shifting - quickly. An aging population, tighter candidate pools, and growing competition from other provinces and remote-first employers mean the way we attract and keep talent is evolving.

In this session, JMC HR Consulting will explore six key trends shaping the next few years of hiring, from radical flexibility and skills-based recruitment to AI-enabled hiring, purpose driven employer branding, expanding talent pipelines, and unlocking growth opportunities within your existing team.

We’ll share New Brunswick–specific insights, examples from across the region, and practical ideas you can take back to strengthen your recruitment strategies. Together, we’ll explore how to adapt, stay competitive, and continue building strong teams for the future of work in Atlantic Canada.
