David is the President of Jupia Consultants Inc., a business and economic development consulting firm based in New Brunswick. David has more than 30 years' experience as a consultant and working with industry, not-for-profit organizations and governments across Canada. His focus areas include economic development strategic planning, economic impact analysis, workforce development, sector development and investment attraction. David was previously Chief Economist with the Government of New Brunswick. In that role, he led the development of economic policy and economic development strategy for the provincial government. David is active in multiple community volunteer roles including as past Chair of the Board of the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick and Chair of the Board of the Multicultural Agency of Greater Moncton (MAGMA). David is a published author, podcaster and columnist. His latest book, Towards Prosperity: The Transformation of Atlantic Canada's Economy, co-authored with Don Mills, provides an optimistic vision for the future of the economy in Atlantic Canada.
