Tamara Balan is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of CivicAction - a non-profit city-building organization. A strategic leader both in-house and on city-building initiatives, Tamara leads the governance, HR and IT functions and spearheads programs that tackle some of the toughest social and economic challenges urban regions faces. Over her career, Tamara has focused on diversity in leadership, access to quality childcare and employer-led actions that level the playing field of opportunity for youth in Canada. She has helped build coalitions of civic leaders in business, government, academia and the community sectors. Working with stellar teams, she led initiatives like HireNext (to make hiring and hr more inclusive), DiverseCity Fellows (to change the face of leadership) and YouthConnect (to offer the youth serving sector free professional development)


Griffith Dias joined RBC in 2017 with the Early Talent Acquisition team after experiencing a handful of industries including higher education, event management, sponsorship marketing, and finally financial services. Now, Griffith recruits close to 300 students and new grads annually for all Finance, Audit, HR and Marketing roles across the bank. In addition, he is the lead Recruiter for the CPA Pre-Approved Rotational Program and supports the Indigenous Peoples Development Program.
