For those who work in an environment where there is potential for violence, it is important to develop the skills needed to defuse dangerous situations. This workshop is designed to teach people to de-escalate potentially violent situations through assertiveness and interpersonal communication. The training will explore how anger and violence interplay, including opportunities for self-assessment of personal communication styles. Participants will develop a clear understanding of how to assess the potential for violence and respond with a diverse set of interpersonal tools and strategies designed to defuse potentially violent situations

Lunch & Learn Invitation- Workplace Harassment & Violence Regulations – One Year Later

The Public Safety Advisory Committee of Moncton are presenting a lunch & learn session on September 9th at noon.

 
This is an in-person event for up to 50 people as well as a the option to attend virtualy.
 
As part of The City of Moncton’s Public Safety Advisory Committee Lunch & Learn series, we will be hosting a free information session, in partnership with Forbes Roth Basque and Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc., entitled Workplace Harassment & Violence Regulations – One Year Later. This workshop is designed to educate human resource professionals, business owners, non-profit management and the general public interested in how this issue impacts the business community and discuss resources that are available to help deal with it.
This free workshop session will be held at the Peace Centre – Main Auditorium located at 22 Church Street on Wednesday, September 9th from Noon – 1:00 p.m. 
 
Please note that in order to ensure physical distancing due to Covid-19 safety restrictions there will be a limit of 50 people allowed to attend the session in person (see option A below).  If you would like attend virtually you can choose option B below.
