Join us for an engaging and interactive professional development session on “AI in the Workplace” using the World Café format. This session will explore the impact of artificial intelligence on various aspects of work, discuss its benefits and challenges, and brainstorm actionable strategies for effective AI integration. Participants will rotate through different discussion tables, each focusing on a specific aspect of AI in the workplace, and collaborate to generate ideas and solutions.

What’s a World Cafe?

A World Café professional development session is a structured conversational process that facilitates open and intimate discussions in small groups, and links ideas within a larger group to access the collective intelligence or wisdom in the room. Here’s how it typically works:

  1. Setting: The environment is designed to resemble a café, with tables for small groups.
  2. Welcome and Introduction: The host begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the World Café process, setting the context, sharing the Café Etiquette, and putting participants at ease.
  3. Small-Group Rounds: The process starts with the first of three or more twenty-minute rounds of conversation for small groups. At the end of each round, participants move to a different table, and a new round begins. One person may stay as the “table host” to welcome the next group and briefly fill them in on the previous conversation.
  4. Questions: Each round is prefaced with a question specially crafted for the specific context and desired purpose of the World Café. The same questions can be used for more than one round, or they may build upon each other to focus the conversation or guide its direction.
  5. Harvest: After the small groups, individuals are invited to share insights or other results from their conversations with the rest of the large group.

DATE: June 20th 2025
  8:30 am to 10:30 am
CHAPTER: Moncton
LANGUAGE: English

Let’s be real: HR isn’t swamped because there’s too much work. It’s swamped because we’re still doing way too much of it manually. If you're still screening resumes with spreadsheets, formatting job postings like it’s 2006, or writing policies from scratch — that’s not “busy,” that’s avoidable.

In this session, we’re cutting through the hype and the fears. We’ll talk about what parts of HR are already being automated (yep, right now), what’s safe (for now), and what’s on the chopping block over the next 2–3 years. We’ll also discuss why HR is behind the curve compared to departments like Sales, Marketing, and Operations.

But this isn’t about replacing people. It’s about using AI to actually do the things we always say we want to do: be more human, more strategic, more fair, and way less bogged down in admin hell.

DATE: July 17th 2025
  1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
CHAPTER: Webinar
LANGUAGE: English

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way people live and work, promising trillions in economic impact and massive advancements in predictability, productivity and personalization. Researchers predict that by 2030, 70% of all companies will have deployed AI and it could impact as many as 60% of all jobs. Leaders who hope to benefit from AI's full potential, including those responsible for developing human capital, have a lot to think about. Achieving the full potential of AI depends on a successful partnership between humans and machines.

As organizations introduce AI and other forms of technology, it's critical for leaders to have a clear understanding of how it will impact people and how to prepare them. Understanding the impact significant technological change in the workplace may have on employees and the corporate culture can help leaders ensure that productivity gains from technology aren't offset by losses in employee engagement and that their workforce is prepared with the right skills to support successful implementation. Even if you're not deploying artificial intelligence now, developing insights into how to encourage employees to become advocates can benefit any major change initiative on your horizon.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore key research from external experts on AI’s projected impact on the workplace.
  • Present findings from Dale Carnegie & Associates on employee attitudes toward AI.
  • Examine how employees view the use of AI in specific workplace applications.
  • Identify the critical skills people need to work effectively alongside AI.
